BLAZERS ACQUIRE GOALTENDER FROM HITMEN
Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers announced today they have acquired 19-year-old goaltender Kyle Dumba from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a 2018 conditional seventh round WHL Bantam Draft pick.
The Calgary, AB native played 28 games for the Hitmen last season and finished with a 7-9-2-0 record. He is entering his third season in the WHL.
“With Connor Ingram likely to play pro hockey this season, we felt it was important to add competition and depth at the goaltender position,” commented General Manager, Stu MacGregor. “We’d like to welcome Kyle to our hockey club.”
Dumba will join the Blazers for the start of training camp later this month.
