BLAZERS DEFEAT SEATTLE 6-1

The Kamloops Blazers (28-10-2-2) defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds (16-20-2-1) 6-1 on Friday night.

Seattle opened the scoring at 14:38 of the 1st period on the power play with a goal from.. It was all Blazers after that. Kale Kessy, in his first game as a Blazer after being picked up from the Vancouver Giants, was rewarded for his efforts as he picked up 2 goals. Brendan Ranford had a strong game, with 4 assists on the night. Taran Kozun was in goal for the Blazers, stopping 22 of the 23 shots that he faced. The Blazers were 2-for-5 on the power play, while the Thunderbirds went 1-for-3 on the man advantage. Shots were 36 to 23 in favour of the Blazers.
