BLAZERS SELECT FORWARD JUSTIN SIGRIST

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers selected 1999-born forward Justin Sigrist with the 42nd overall pick in the 2017 CHL Import Draft.

Sigrist is from Hombrechtikon, Switzerland and is listed at 5’10” and 165lbs. He played this past season with the GCK Lions Under-20 of the Elite Junior A League which is based in Kusnacht, Switzerland. He had nine goals, 22 assists for 31 points in 41 games.

He also played for Switzerland at the Under-18 World Championships and have a goal and two assists in five games.

“We are happy to add Justin to our hockey club,” commented General Manager, Stu MacGregor. “He is a hard-working and reliable forward that we think will develop well playing with our hockey club.”

The 18-year-old will join the Blazers for their 2017 Training Camp in Kamloops in late August.
