Week in Review:

Friday, November 7, 2014 at Tri-City Americans – 5-2 Loss

The Americans scored three power play goals en route to a 5-2 victory over the Blazers in Kennewick. The Blazers got goals from Matt Needham and Matt Revel, while Richard Nejezchleb and Parker Bowles led the Americans with four points each. Connor Ingram took the loss with 24 saves. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Portland Winterhawks – 4-3 Overtime Loss

The Winterhawks scored twice on the power play and earned a 4-3 overtime win over the Blazers. Jesse Shynkaruk had two assists for the Blazers while Collin Shirley, Deven Sideroff and Quinn Benjafield scored the goals. For Benjafield, it was his first career WHL goal. Ully Named WHL Player of the Month

Cole Ully was named WHL Player of the Month for September/October after scoring 9 goals and putting up 26 points in only 16 games.

The 19-year-old Dallas Stars draft pick was also added to Team WHL’s roster after his strong start.

Ully Playing for Team WHL

Kamloops Blazers’ 19-year-old forward Cole Ully is on Team WHL’s roster for the Subway Super Series this week against Team Russia in Saskatoon on November 10th and in Brandon on November 11th.

The Subway Super Series games versus Team Russia can be watched on Sportsnet Pacific at 7:00pm.

Ully has had a very good season with 28 points in 18 games.

Kryski Competes for Canada Red at U-17 World Challenge

Jake Kryski has returned to the Kamloops Blazers after missing the past five games at the U-17 World Challenge in Sarnia, Ontario.

Kryski was Canada Red’s top scorer with 5 points in 5 games.
