BLAZERS WEEK IN REVIEW, SEPTEMBER 17

Week in Review:

Friday, September 14^th, 2012 vs. Prince George Cougars – 4-3 Win

The Blazers pulled off another comeback in the WHL preseason with a 4-3 shootout win over the Prince George Cougars. The Cougars were solid through two periods and built up leads of 1-0 and 3-0 through the first two periods. The Blazers got a spark in their game as goaltender Cole Cheveldave made a few stellar saves to start the third period. Colin Smith got the Blazers on the board tucking a puck under goaltender Devon Fordyce to make it 3-1. Dylan Willick made it 3-2 on a terrific feed from defenseman Marek Hrbas. The Blazers tied it up as JC Lipon scored a power play marker with 1:21 to play. Overtime solved nothing as the game went to a shootout. Colin Smith scored the lone goal of the shootout as Cole Cheveldave stopped all three shooters to preserve a 4-3 win. The win lifted the Blazers to a perfect WHL preseason record at 5-0-0-0. Season Ticket Pick-Up

Season Ticket pick-up day has come and gone as the Blazers showed off their new third jerseys. Pictures of those jerseys can be found on the Blazers Facebook or Twitter account, as well as the Blazers online store.

For those who missed out on season ticket pick-up night, you can still pick up your ticket package anytime between 9:00am – 5:00pm at the Blazers Box Office. 

Blazers Participate in Terry Fox Run

The Kamloops Blazers participated in the Terry Fox Run this past Sunday, September 16^th at Riverside Park. The team ran 7.5km and raised $1212 to benefit the Terry Fox Foundation.

Home Opener on Friday, September 21^st vs. Kelowna Rockets

The Kamloops Blazers will be raising the 2012 B.C. Division Championship Banner as they host the Kelowna Rockets on Friday, September 21^st.
