COLIN SMITH... BY THE NUMBERS

Here is the first edition of 'By the Numbers' as we look at one of the longest serving Blazers, Colin Smith.

72 – Colin was one of three players who played all 72 regular season games last season along with Dylan Willick and Bronson Maschmeyer

20 – The number of multiple point games that he had last season which was second on the team behind Brendan Ranford’s 23.

200 – The number of career regular season games he has played over 3+ seasons in the WHL

192 – The number of consecutive regular games Smith has played. Smith, Willick and Maschmeyer also played all 72 games during the 2010-11 season.

31 – Smith’s +/- rating from this past season which was the highest among all Blazer forwards and only behind Tyler Hansen’s +38

28 – The number Smith wore during the 2008-09 season when he played 8 regular season games as a 15-year-old. He also played 4 games in the playoffs, scoring his first WHL goal.   

19 – The number of playoff games Smith has played in which is tied with Brendan Ranford for the most among active Blazers.

6 – The number of insurance goals scored by Smith this past season. He led the Blazers in this category and was T-10 in the WHL.

9 – Smith’s current number. The last Blazer to wear #9 was Ivan Roháč during the 2007-08 season.
