Late Rally Lifts Blazers to Win in Kelowna

Luc Smith scored a short-handed goal with 1:18 to play to power the Blazers past the Rockets in Kelowna. The Blazers began the third down 3-2.

Zane Franklin added an empty-netter to seal it. Other goal scorers including Czech import Martin Lang. Daylan Kuefler and Carson Denomie scored in the 1st period. Ryley Appelt finished two assists.

Rayce Ramsay picked up the win in goal. He didn’t give up a goal in the second half of the game, making six saves. Dylan Garand started the game, making 16 of 19 stops.

The Blazers are now 3-1 in the pre-season. They wrap up the exhibition season next weekend in Prince George.
