TIM BOZON GOES TO CANADIENS IN NHL DRAFT

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers are proud to announce that 18-year-old forward Tim Bozon has been selected in the 3^rd round, 64^th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. 

Bozon had an outstanding rookie season in the WHL finishing with 36 goals, 35 assists and 71 points in 71 games. He led all WHL rookies in goals and was second in points. He was also the WHL’s Western Conference finalist as the Rookie of the Year. 

The 6’1” 184lb forward is the first Kamloops Blazer to be drafted since Austin Madaisky and Brendan Ranford were chosen in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Bozon is also the highest selected Blazer player at 64^th overall since Keaton Ellerby went 10^th overall to the Florida Panthers in 2007. 

Bozon becomes the fifth Blazer to be drafted by the Canadiens and the first since Gennady Razin in 1997. Others selected by the Canadiens include Greg Hart (1995), Chris Murray (1994), and Darcy Tucker (1993).
