AMERICANS TOP BLAZERS 4-1
The Tri-City Americans came to Kamloops Sunday night and beat the Blazers 4-1 at the Sandman Centre.
The Americans built up a 3-0 lead midway through the game on goals from Parker AuCoin, Tyler Jette and Jordan Topping.
Quinn Benjafield tallied late in the second period to cut the deficit to 3-1 through two periods.
The Blazers pushed in the third period and had plenty of chances to even the score, but Patrick Dea stopped 32 shots and the Americans added an empty net goal in a 4-1 win over the Blazers.
Dylan Ferguson stopped 23 shots for the Blazers on the night. The Blazers were 0-for-5 on the power play, while the Americans finished 2-for-4.
The Blazers will play at home next on Tuesday, January 9th when they host the Spokane Chiefs.
