Jermaine Loewen scored the game winning goal with 8:03 to play in the third period to help the Blazers to a 2-1 win in Seattle on Saturday night.

The Thunderbirds opened the scoring in the first period as Dalton Hamaliuk’s shot deflected past goaltender Max Palaga for a 1-0 lead.

Brodi Stuart tied the game 6:07 into the second period as he was set up by Nick Chyzowski for his seventh goal of the season.

Loewen scored in typical fashion as he chipped a puck behind a defender, won a race, and made a nice move for his team leading 13th goal of the season.

Max Palaga earned his third win of the season with 25 saves in goal.

The Blazers are home Sunday, December 3rd at 3:00pm to the Kootenay Ice for the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game!
