BLAZERS SCORE FIVE ON THE PP, WIN 6-2 AT HOME

GAME SUMMARY

The Kamloops Blazers went 5-for-7 on the power play and got 23 saves from Dylan Ferguson in a 6-2 win over the Vancouver Giants.

The Blazers started the game right with a power play goal from Brodi Stuart 1:25 into the game.

Ty Ronning tied the game on a Giants power play. Luc Smith gave the Blazers the lead on a rebound as the Blazers led 2-1 after the first period.

The power play drove the ship in the second period as Jermaine Loewen and Quinn Benjafield each scored to make it 4-1 Blazers.

Ondrej Vala would add a goal off the rush to give the Blazers a 5-1 lead through two periods.

Ty Ronning tallied his 22nd goal of the season. Joe Gatenby would round out the scoring to make it a 6-2 final for the Blazers.

Jermaine Loewen scored in his sixth straight game, while Garrett Pilon had three points for the second straight night.

The Blazers are home on Saturday night when they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
