BLAZERS START NEW YEAR WITH 4-1 WIN

The Blazers rung in the New Year with a 4-1 win over the Victoria Royals on home ice Monday afternoon.

It was a dominating performance from the Blazers as they outshot the visitors 47-24.

Quinn Benjafield had a goal and two assists and Carson Denomie, Brodi Stuart and Nick Chyzowski all added goals for the Blazers.

Dylan Ferguson was a game star with 23 saves in the win. Griffen Outhouse turned aside 43 shots for the Royals.

The Blazers were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Royals finished 1-for-5.

The Blazers will have the week off before playing the Royals at home on Saturday, January 6.
