BLAZERS WIN 5-1 OVER ROYALS ON HOME ICE

The Blazers erupted for four goals in the second period and went on to win 5-1 on home ice over the Victoria Royals on Wednesday night.

Connor Zary opened the scoring on a nice feed from Orrin Centazzo in the first period.

The Blazers scored two power play goals in the second period as Nick Chyzowski and Brodi Stuart made it 3-0.

Ryley Appelt made it 4-0, but Andrei Grishakov got the Royals on the scoreboard on a turnover to make it 4-1.

Jermaine Loewen rounded out the scoring with his 33rd goal of the season to make it 5-1.

The Blazers were 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Royals finished 0-for-4. Shots were 40-25 for the Blazers.

The Blazers will be home on Friday, March 2nd when they host the Vancouver Giants. Game time is 7:00pm.
