BLAZERS WIN 5-2 OVER HURRICANES
The Kamloops Blazers won for the second consecutive night as they beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-2 on home ice.
Ondrej Vala opened the scoring in the first period on an odd man rush as he pounded home a rebound for his sixth of the season.
The Blazers made it 2-0 on a great goal from Nick Chyzowski who tallied his seventh of the season.
The Hurricanes had a lot of fight in them and battled back. Tanner Nagel tipped a shot past goaltender Dylan Ferguson on the power play and Jordy Bellerive evened the score at 2-2 early in the third period.
Brodi Stuart would give the Blazers the lead with 4:49 to play in the game off a great pass from Quinn Benjafield.
Benjafield would then score with 1:51 to play going hard to the net for his seventh of the season.
Nick Chyzowski iced the game with an empty net goal in the final minute of play.
Dylan Ferguson won back-to-back games as he stopped 25 shots. Stuart Skinner took the loss with 25 saves.
Benajfield finished the night with a goal and three assists, while Chyzowski had two goals, Stuart had a goal and an assist and Pilon had two assists.
The Blazers will play next on Friday, November 24th when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers.
