The Kamloops Blazers five-game winning streak ended with a 3-1 loss to the Everett Silvertips on Friday night at home.

The Silvertips scored first on the power play in the first period. Matt Fonteyne was set up nicely by fellow 20-year-old Patrick Bajkov for a 1-0 lead.

The Blazers got better as the game went on and tied it up midway through the third period. After a scramble in front of the net, Nolan Kneen scored his second goal of the season to make it 1-1.

Sean Richards gave the Silvertips the lead with 4:09 to play on an odd man rush. He was at the net to bury a rebound to make it 2-1.

The Silvertips added an empty net goal in the final minute to make it a 3-1 final.

The Blazers outshot the Silvertips 33-23 on the night. Everett was 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Blazers finished 1-for-3.

The Blazers will be in Seattle on Saturday night and host the Kootenay Ice on Sunday, December 3rd in their annual Teddy Bear Toss Game.
