The lead didn’t last as Darian Dziurzynski redirected a pass in on the power play and it was 2-2 through two periods.
The Blazers were penalized early in the third period, but Colin Smith took advantage. Smith won a faceoff and pushed the puck forward. He won the race to the puck and scored the Blazers league leading 12th shorthanded marker of the season for a 3-2 lead. The Blazers stuck to their game and played responsible in winning the game 3-2.
Cole Cheveldave was named the games third star making 29 saves for the victory. Brandon Anderson stopped 36 shots for the Wheat Kings and was the second star.
