MATTHEW CAMPESE ACQUIRED FROM ROYALS

Kamloops, BC – Kamloops Blazers General Manager Craig Bonner announced today the acquisition of 16-year-old forward Matthew Campese and a 5th round pick in 2016 from the Victoria Royals in exchange for a 3rd round pick in 2015.

Campese, who will turn 17 on December 10th, has two goals in 14 games with the Royals this season.

The 5’10” and 185lb native of Prince Albert played last season with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Midget Prep team where he had 46 goals and 88 points in only 37 games.

“We have liked Matthew’s game since his Bantam draft year in 2012,” commented General Manager, Craig Bonner. “Matthew will add depth to our 1997-born group of players. He is still only 16, and has a lot of upside to be excited about.”

With the addition of Campese, the Blazers roster now sits at 25 players including two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 15 forwards.
