LOGAN STANKOVEN NAMED CAPTAIN OF THE BLAZERS

BLAZERS ANNOUNCE LOGAN STANKOVEN AS CAPTAIN

Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have announced their leadership group for the 2022-23 season. Logan Stankoven will captain the hockey club after spending the 2021-22 season as a co-captain with Quinn Schmiemann.

Stankoven is in his fourth season with the Blazers. In the 2021-22 season, Stankoven was named the WHL and CHL Player of the Year after putting up 45 goals, 59 points and 104 points.

The Kamloops native was selected by the Dallas Stars in the 2021 NHL Draft in the second round and has signed an NHL entry level contract with the Stars.

The Blazers also named six players as alternate captains for the season. Caedan Bankier, Matthew Seminoff, Daylan Kuefler and Ethan Brandwood enter their second season as alternate captains. Drew Englot and Fraser Minten will also be alternate captains for the 2022-23 season.
