Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Everett Silvertips – 2-1 Loss

The Blazers found themselves in a 2-0 hole early and came up a goal short in a 2-1 loss to the Everett Silvertips. Connor Ingram took the loss with 23 saves in goal. Collin Shirley was the lone goal scorer for the Blazers. Click here for Highlights & Recap.

Friday, November 28, 2014 vs. Regina – 7-3 Loss

The Blazers found themselves down 4-0 after the first period and could not battle back in a 7-3 home ice loss to the Regina Pats. Connor Gay had a hat-trick and Dryden Hunt picked up 5 assists for the Pats. Luke Harrison, Logan McVeigh and Patrik Maier were the goal scorers for the Blazers. Click here for Highlights & Recap.

Saturday, November 29, 2014 vs. Victoria – 5-3 Loss

For the third straight night, the Blazers trailed after the first period. They battled back to tie the game 3-3 in the third period, but two late goals by the Royals iced the game in a 5-3 loss. Cole Kehler took the loss in goal, while Collin Shirley, Josh Connolly and Matt Needham scored the goals. Click here for Highlights &Recap.

Tuesday, December 2 vs. Saskatoon Blades

Pub Night which means Beer and Popcorn are priced at $4 each. Craft vendors will also be set up on the concourse offering some great Christmas gift options.

Friday, December 5 vs. Prince Albert Raiders

Harley Davidson night as 1 lucky fan will get an opportunity to ‘Shoot to Win a Harley’. Aberdeen Elementary school band will be performing on the concourse.

Saturday, December 6 vs. Prince George Cougars

Zimmer Autogroup Teddy Bear and Toque Night! When the Blazers score their first goal of the game, get ready to toss teddy bears or toques/mittens etc.

Colin Smith Makes NHL Debut Monday Night

Kamloops Blazers alumni Colin Smith (2009-2013) will make his NHL debut on Monday night against the Montreal Canadiens.

The 21-year-old is one of the most dynamic scorers that Blazers have had. In 272 career games with the Blazers over four seasons, Smith had 271 points.

Prospect Update: Phillip Knies

Forward Phillip Knies (4th round, 2013) is playing this season with Colorado Thunderbirds U-16 team

The 16-year-old forward has had a very good season with 11 goals and 22 points in 16 games this season.   

Knies had a strong fall training camp with the Blazers after being unable attend training camp as a 15-year-old due to injury.

Alumni Update: Brock Nixon

Brock Nixon (2003-2008) is playing his second season of professional hockey for the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL.  

The 27-year-old played five seasons with the Blazers. In 286 regular season games, Nixon put up 182 points. 

The Russell, MB native played five seasons of CIS hockey at the University of Calgary (2009-2013) and earned an Education Degree.
