EDMUNDSON SIGNS WITH BLUES

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the club has signed defenseman Joel Edmundson to three-year entry level contracts.

Edmundson, 19, has appeared in 60 games between the Western Hockey League’s (WHL) Moose Jaw Warriors and Kamloops Blazers this season, combining for 25 points (9 goals and 16 assists) to go along with 133 penalty minutes.

Overall, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound defenseman has spent the past three seasons in the WHL, amassing 68 points (15 goals, 53 assists) and 319 penalty minutes in 187 games. The Brandon, Manitoba native was drafted by the Blues in the second round (46th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
