ROCKETS BEAT BLAZERS 4-2

The Kamloops Blazers playoff hopes ended with a 4-2 home ice loss handed to them by the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night on home ice.

The RocketsĀ built up 2-0 and 4-1 leadsĀ as they were 1-for-7 on the power play and also scored while shorthanded.

Orrin Centazzo scored a goal on a penalty shot and Nolan Kneen tallied his seventh of the season on a five on three power play with six seconds left in the game.

Dylan Ferguson had a busy night in goal with 34 saves, while Brodan Salmond earned the win with 36 saves.

These two teams will conclude the season series on Saturday night in Kelowna.
